Installed at the discharge end of flat or trough belt conveyors, magnetic head rollers are designed to remove tramp iron and small pieces of iron that cannot be attracted using either an overband or plate magnet due to deep product depths. Used in conjunction with the above mentioned units, head roller magnets will give you the best possible protection against tramp metals. Eclipse Head Rollers are available in two strengths, standard strength for the removal of large pieces of tramp iron or high strength for the removing both large and small pieces of tramp. The shafts of the roller can be machined to suit existing bearing detail ensuring ease of installation and minimal downtime.
Deep Ffield Chute Magnets Housed deep field chute magnets are used for the removal of tramp iron, for example, nuts, bolts, washers and mill balls from gravity fed pipelines and chutes. These 'Primary' magnets are installed in goods inwards points or mid process to prevent large pieces of contamination damaging expensive processing equipment. One of the main benefits of incorporating this type of unit is that there is no restriction inside the unit enabling already established product flow rates to be maintained. All product contact parts are manufactured using 316 grade stainless steel.
Plate magnets are positioned above conveyor belts to prevent tramp iron from being introduced into crushers, screens and other expensive plant machinery. These magnets generate deep magnetic flux fields to reach into the conveyed product to remove tramp iron, reducing costly down time and expensive repairs. Each unit in this range can be utilised in harsh and arduous applications and in all weathers and climates. The magnet has a stainless steel shroud to five faces and a painted mild steel back plate to which the drop chain eye bolts are fitted.

Housed easy clean grid magnets are ideal for removal of fine iron and para-magnetic contamination from a range of dry free flowing products such as sugar, grain, flour, granulates and powders. Housings are available for both square chutes and round pipelines and are flanged to suit each customers requirement for ease of installation. Cleaning of this system is exactly the same as for the easy clean grid unit. All product contact parts are manufactured using 316 grade stainless steel.
Magnetic grids are extremely efficient at removing fine iron contamination from dry free flowing powders and granulates Contamination such as rust, stainless steel scrapings and wear from machinery are often too small to be detected by a metal detector, but is easily removed by these highly efficient grids. The product flows throught the grid. Any contamination is immediately attracted to the grid's powerful magnetic rods. The contamination is pushed to undersides of the rods, where it is securely held, out of the way of the wash-off effects of continuous product flow. The grids require no power and no maintenance (except for cleaning) and are quick and easy to install. Once the grid is in position you know it's working. Grids are available in a vast range of standard sizes and 3 magnet strengths (standard for coarse ferrous contamination, high and super-high for micron sized and para-magnetic contamination). Designed to be mounted above flat belt conveyors, hinged strip magnets are ideal for the removal of ferrous contamination from many product types. High intensity Rare Earth Neodymium magnets are fully enclosed within a stainless steel shroud onto which a hinged cleaning plate is mounted. Deep fields of magnetic energy are emitted from the front face attracting ferrous contamination as it passes below. All parts are manufactured using 316 grade stainless steel, except the plastic handles.
Housed bullet magnets are ideal for the removal of tramp iron, for example nuts, bolts, washers and nails etc. from blown or gravity fed pipelines. The magnets are generally installed at ingredient intake points and the primary stages of the process line. The unit is designed to prevent tramp iron from damaging expensive process machinery, for example mixers, blenders and screw feed conveyors. Housed drum magnets have all the benefits of a normal drum magnet but are intended to be installed into chute work and are ideal for the continuous removal of tramp and fine ferrous contamination from dry bulk materials used in the processing of grain, chemicals, minerals and recycling. The drum shell is supported on high quality sealed flange bearings to ensure smooth, efficient and reliable rotation of the shell around the magnetic element, and is driven by a three phase, dual voltage, high quality motor unit. The drum is incorporated within a robust stainless steel housing which can be flanged to suit your requirements for ease of installation.
Magnetic liquid filters are designed to remove micron sized ferrous and para-magnetic contamination from various types of liquids. A matrix of Easy Clean rods containing high intensity rare earth neodymium iron boron magnets are housed within a stainless steel vessel. The magnetic configuration ensures maximum exposure of contamination to the high intensity rods without impeding liquid flow. Filters are available in two versions, single wall and double wall jacketed. Jacketed filters are used in heated pipeline applications where temperature is critical to the product viscosity, for example, chocolate, syrups, jams and sauces. Both these versions are tested and certified to operate at pressures up to 6 bar as standard, designs capable of working at 20 bar are available on request. Rare earth rod magnets are extremely efficient at removing fine iron contamination from free flowing products such as sugar, grain, tea, flour, granulate and any other types of powder with a low moisture content. This item can be supplied with blank, tapped or studded ends for ease of installation. Rods are 25.4mm (1") in diameter. Rods are particularly useful for those engineers who wish to build their own separator units or have severe room restrictions and are not able to accommodate a conventional unit. Recycling, quarrying and heavy industries benefit from overband units extracting metal contamination. Placed above flat or trough type conveyors, large permanent magnetic packs generate deep penetrating magnetic flux fields that attract and remove tramp steel items from conveyed products. A rubber belt is driven around two rollers with the magnetic pack positioned in the centre. Ferrous items are attracted by the magnet to the belt's face and carried over and past the magnetic area until the contamination is deposited into a collection bin or skip. These units can be supplied with either an electric or hydraulic drive unit for mobile machinery and are ideally suited for continuous use, where processing stops infrequently or for heavily contaminated products.
Magnetic separator for conveying lines. The PneuMag is a high intensity magnetic separator designed to remove ferrous and stainless steel scrapings from pneumatic conveying lines operating at up to 25m/s. It features a centrally positioned high intensity magnetic grid with quick release toggle clamps, tamper proof cover plate and totally stainless steel construction. The PneuMag is particularly suited to flour, sugar and other powder and granulate processing.
Whilst the primary function of this unit is to extract ferrous contamination from product that is prone to caking or bridging, the rotary action of the grid means contamination is presented to a greater number of magnetic surfaces than a standard fixed grid offering even more effective contamination removal. The rotating action of the grid assembly gently agitates the product flow and prevents the bridging that would normally occur with starches and powders with high moisture content in a fixed grid installation. Square units are available for chutes, circular units for pipes. Units are flanged to suit each customers requirement for ease of installation.

High intensity magnetic sampling probes are ideal for quality control personnel to quickly and easily carry out product purity inspections on any powder, granulate or liquids for ferrous and lightly magnetic contamination. The probe should be used for sample inspection of product at inward goods, prior to despatch and at critical points throughout the process line for batch testing. The drum should be fitted at the conveyor discharge or ideally directly below a vibratory feed system. High performance rare earth magnets are incorporated within a stainless steel, wear resistant drum shell. The drum shell is supported on quality sealed flange bearings to ensure smooth, efficient and reliable rotation of the shell around the magnetic element.
